Freedom of Time 2020 Edition: When things got real!
You know it's just April and we've already been through so much.
Kobe, COVID-19, Tik Tok overload just to name a few...yeah it's a lot to deal with right?
However, I will not complain because it's been years since we've had 99 cent gas prices! Being able to fill my car up for under $30 is unheard of.
Yet, some how through all the madness we're surrounded by.
Let me rephrase that. Should I say shown through social media?
Our service based businesses still manage to utter these five words...
"How may I serve you?"
That phrase alone speaks volumes in the self centered society we live in. Yep, The one that's strangely decided that hoarding toilet paper is normal.
Service based businesses are keeping us afloat right now and I would like to say a huge THANK YOU!
Thank you to the cashiers, truck drivers, conductors, medical personnel, manufacturing industry, etc.
I would also like to acknowledge the forgotten industries that are suffering from this as well.
The individual entrepreneur who just wants to put dinner on the table and finally save a few extra coins.
Being a coach right now may not be easy for some and it may pose a variety of challenges.
Some challenges you may expect and some may have you wanting to sit Indian-style and cry it out at night.
Well I am here to tell you that "This too, shall pass!"
I know...We all just want to go outside and play again.
Well in my case, I just want to hit the gas in my 392 while heading to the south-side of Atlanta for a car meet.

Corona virus...yeah ish got real, REAL!
Q U A R A N T I N E
Yep, that's one of our new favorite words of 2020.
The other one is...
S O C I A L D I S T A N C I N G
Seriously, who sat back and came up with that one?
Through it all "How may I serve you?" still comes out the mouths of the people who bag your groceries at Sam's Club.
Like most business owners right now you're probably wondering; How am I supposed to market myself?
T R Y B E I N G C R E A T I V E...
Thinking outside the box, listening to the problems people are currently faced with and position yourself/business to solve them.
If you've been paying attention I'm sure you've seen many organizations and companies adjust to the current trend.
Making WFH the hottest new hashtag and policy to keep the coins rolling in.
If they can do it you can too! On a much smaller scale of course.
Take this time to gather your thoughts, learn something new and network.
Trust me, most folks in management are just like you right now.

Trying to home school their kids...HA...that's a whole another blog post. Between balancing webinars, team meetings, client retention and security concerns. Then boom...All 50 states decided to throw this one in. No school for the remainder of the school year!
We are ALL maneuvering through this thing and your business can survive if you take the right steps.
Remember, we kept saying that we never had time to do the most important things in life.
Well now TIME is all you have. Especially since we're all stuck in the house on curfew.
You've been indirectly given Freedom of your Time until this is over.
Will you use it wisely?
