I WON!!! No I really won something!
Gratitude goes a very long way when dealing with most individuals. You gotta think...we live in a world where thank you & your welcome aren't the norm.
Sound's quite sad when you really think about it. However, it surely makes you appreciate winning and the few kind words that are said a whole lot more.
So, I bet your wondering what did this Chic win?
I won top contributor of the month in an amazing coaching community that I enjoy. (Yes, your coach has a coach, duh).
That is actually saying something and it made me proud. It also proved my point about making people feel good about themselves.
I was having the absolute worse day at first. From forgetting to cut things off at home, files being deleted at work and not having enough coffee. I need's my damn coffee!!!
I was borderline b!#$h mode for a moment.
I bounced back very quickly upon getting the notification that I had won though.
It may not seem like much to some but to know that other's are taking the time to actually read what I'm talking about is priceless.
I told you all. Just continue to share value and be consistent.
The rest will follow & it did!
I won a free course and it is $Free.99 soooo....lol
Yeah, I'll be there!
Now this brings me to the business side of things. How many times have you felt forgotten, left out or unappreciated at work?
Probably too many times to count if the culture at your job sucks, right?
Well, I can ensure that you are not alone!
Most employers haven't mastered this technique of keeping people in a positive state of gratitude.
You should want your employees to feel good about their work place. I'm just saying! I wouldn't want a whole bunch of non motivated people showing up to my company everyday and messing up my brand!
If they don't feel excited about clocking in then you need to ask yourself a few things.
What can be done to make sure that all employees are just as excited as I, when I won that freebie course?
(I get it! It isn't exactly a winning lotto ticket but ISSA a freebie so I'll take it!)
Plus you don't want a bunch of "it pays the bills don't it?" employees hanging around either.
They will be less likely to truly support your business, mission, vision and they will let things slide due to a lack of accountability.
You do not want this type of circle within your organization, at all!!!
When put that way it seems like your forcing your employees to come to this place of employment and suffer on most days.
Plus, I know that is not why you got started?!?!
Some are happy with their jobs and would love to just chill then relax until 65 years old.
but...
It's those damn millennials who are hard to keep. Yes, indeed! They come in, take a few classes and bounce. Most fortune 500 companies are seeing this at a rapid alarming rate.
Meaning that most companies have failed to adjust to the cultural changes and they continue to pay for it!
Basically, you have to be in tuned with what your people want, need and expect from you.
Once you have mastered this then you'll be on your way.
I didn't say you we're done but surely on your way!
Listen, stop trying to avoid the work that will have you setup to achieve your greatest wins in life.
I know shortcuts may seem easy and time savvy. In the long run you will seriously regret it.
There are no quick and easy ways to get things done sometimes. So roll up them sleeves and start knocking things of the list so that you can win too!
I was only capable of winning anything because I took the time to come up with original content. I shared my information for others to see and I remained focused.
Sounds easy right?
Well, most couldn't even stick to that for half the time.
Listen, it's simple.
Figure out what they want and give it to them after evaluating your means to do so!
Remember, most people just want to feel like they've won something even if it isn't much.
Therefore, appreciation does go a long way!!!
Make them feel like they've WON the LOTTO everyday!!!
